The scope of this work was to remodel the garden in a way which separated the pool from the driveway area and to create for this young family a genuine outdoor space. Due to the limited area of the garden, it was important to the owners to maximise the available space. We did this by using timber decking which could be laid flush with the internal flooring and thereby creating a free flowing effect from the inside to the outside. The decking was highly detailed laid in a pattern which accentuated the main focal point of the garden, the pool, in a tropical resort style. As originally from Darwin, the owners enjoy the tropical theme of the decking boardwalks and this is further accentuated with the plant material chosen. In time this will be a tropical haven where you can escape from everyday life with a Pina Colada by the pool.
To separate the pool and the outdoor area from the driveway and garage, a reed screen was used simply attached to the new pool fence and thereby creating the private garden area sought after. |
