Edgecliffe 10
Location
Edgecliffe, Sydney NSW
Project Value
$200,000
The transformation of this Edgecliff home's tired pool and garden into a stylish, spacious and practical tropical outdoor entertaining area has been achieved to above and beyond the client's expectation. Continuity between the indoor and outdoor areas was important and creating a seamless link was paramount. This was achieved through the use of replication in material in this case the charcoal stained decking.
The paved border gives it an added lift and helps to link the different garden rooms together as the sandstone is the predominant material used in the upper pool level and on the reconfigured steps. Extensive rendered walling has been built to provide a clean, contemporary finish and as a foil for planting.
Features can be found everywhere you look from the large urn water feature, oversize pots by the pool, frameless glass fencing and the luxurious timber day bed which also conceals the pump and filter for the pool.
The plant material reflects the client's wish for a tropical style scheme with focal plants such as Frangipani, Travellers Palm, Black bamboo (this looks particulaly stunning behind the water feature against the white rendered wall), and European fan palms.
The result is a visually stunning, well-balanced, simple yet sophisticated garden that reflects the interior renovations undertaken in conjunction with the landscaping. Green Rooms is happy to continue the relationship built up with the clients through providing high quality on going garden maintenance designed to keep improving the garden over time.
