Our Services |
Typically a garden requires a number of resources for its construction - concrete, plants, compost, irrigation pipe and so forth. There will be additional inputs needed for the maintenance of the garden, such as water, fertilizer, pesticides and herbicides, to name a few. A garden also generates materials that may be harmful to the environment, such as greenwaste, polluted runoff of and chemical-laden water. The idea behind sustainable landscaping is to develop ways to reduce these inputs and outputs without sacrificing beauty, economy and ease of maintenance. Although it may not be practical to adopt sustainability on all levels of landscaping, it is possible to make changes throughout the garden development process that will reduce the overall impact on the environment. As a company, Green Rooms has strong interest and sense of responsibility to endorse such principles of landscaping. For example the use of recycled quarry products, energy efficient LED lights and the establishment of native gardens allow us to build beautiful gardens with minimal affect on the environment. Offering our customers a product that contributes to the wellbeing of our natural surroundings and that gives a sense of responsible living is a core part of our business. Alongside our passion for sustainability Green Rooms team also holds expertise in permaculture and will happily consult interested customers about the ways in which they can implement sustainable solutions in their gardens. |
