Shaun Bridges, Site Manager

About Shaun… I’ve been a fully qualified landscape gardener since 2005, gaining my Certificate 3 in Horticulture at Swinburne Uni. I learnt my trade in Melbourne with two very well known and experienced companies in the industry, Ian Barker & Associates and Southern Earth landscapes. I also spent a year working for Victorian Irrigation where I gained extensive knowledge of the irrigation industry. By this time the travel bug had hit so I set off to Canada for a year to do a ski season in the Canadian Rockies where I was lucky enough to get work as a stonemason building resorts in town and learning about the local stone and different techniques used in stonemasonry. Continuing on my travels I moved to London for one year working for one of the most prestigious landscape companies in London, Siddeleys Landcsape Design where I worked in some of the most beautiful and luxurious properties in London working with all sorts of different materials and designs, making this some of the most challenging and stimulating experiences of my career. After a year in the UK, home was calling so I moved back to Australia where I took a job with a friend as a bricklayer, once again learning many new skills in a different trade. Now I am with Green Rooms and loving the variety and challenges I receive with my job every day.
My day-to-day duties include client liaison, organising materials, staff and sub- contractors and working with the project manager.

When I am not at work I… like to surf, go to music festivals, see live music, snowboard, travel and socialise with friends.

I am happiest when… I'm smiling!

When I was a child I wanted to be… a fireman.
